ARTIST STATEMENT
Painting in acrylics allows me to rapidly render color, line and shapes into form. The texture of the paint adds an exciting physical experience to the process and sculptural dimension to the piece.  I am interested in capturing the mood or feeling of the subject as I experienced it.

BIO
I graduated from Middlebury College, Middlebury, VT in 1992 with a BA in Art and Economics.  In 1999, I completed a Certificate Degree in Graphic Design at Massachusetts College of Art while working at Little Brown & Co. in Professional Journals. Currently I am a member of Community House Artists, managing 317 Main Art Gallery in Yarmouth, ME and doing graphic design. I enjoy the creative problem solving process of design, but love to step away from the computer and paint.
